LANGMUIR BLODGETT LABORATORY (LBT)

MAIN ACTIVITIES

In our LBT laboratory, we have equipments for high precision interfacial lateral pressure and surface potential measurements, e. g., Langmuir technique (LT) and Langmuir-Blodgett technique (LBT), and possess expertise in this field. These measurements are used to fabricate controlled planar nanoscale supramolecular biostructures at different interfaces.

We are able to determine the structure of the multifunctional supramolecular systems from a combination of high-resolution synchrotron powder-diffraction data, advanced spectroscopy methods and molecular mechanics calculations.

The secondary structure of proteins is investigated by 1H NMR, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction techniques.
