Details:
Data collection provides the first part necessary for a structural determination which is collecting the data for the crystal provided and the refinement of this data set.
Data collection service should by used from the groups who are familiar with structure determination from the collected data and finally with the structure refinement.
Again, the condition for a good data set is a quality crystal provided by the customer.

Materials provided to the client:- Unit cell parameters (α, β, γ, a, b, c)
- Output files containing the collection and refinded data (hkl file)
- Structure refinement - structure refinament for data collected elsewhere.
Details:
Structure refinement provides the second part necessary for a structural determination which is structure determination and structure refinement from data collected with a X-ray diffractometer.
Structure refinement service should be used from those groups who have the collected data for a crystal and are having problems with the structural determination.
