· Original aim of the project
To develop multifunctional hybrid biodegradable polymer/substituted NHAp/drug composites within a thermo-responsive injectable hydrogel for clinical applications in osteoporotic bone fractures treatment or as a prophylactic.
Methods: NHAp were precipitated from water solution using advanced processing methods in order to control morphology and crystallinity. Precipitates were filtered, thoroughly washed and lyophilized, and finally calcined at 300 °C for 1 h. Products were characterized via X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy, BET surface area. |
